Can you arrange special touches for a birthday or anniversary during the trip?
Yes — this is one of the things we take particular care over. We brief your guide and the hotels in advance. Expect room upgrades where available, welcome amenities on the key night, and a celebratory dinner arranged at a restaurant your guide knows personally. We ask about the occasion during the booking process so nothing is left to chance.
Which destination is best for a 60th birthday trip?
Japan is consistently our most popular choice for significant birthdays — the combination of cherry blossom season, the Shinkansen experience, the ryokan stay and the cultural depth makes it feel genuinely momentous. Cambodia (Angkor at sunrise) and India (the Taj Mahal) are also very popular. Bali is the top choice for those who want a more restorative, spa-and-villa experience.
Are these holidays suitable if only one of us is very mobile?
Yes — we build accessibility into every itinerary. Every tour day notes walking distances and terrain type. Sites that have challenging access have accessible alternatives. Your guide is fully briefed and experienced at ensuring both guests have an equally rewarding experience regardless of mobility difference.
How far in advance should I book a milestone holiday?
For popular seasons — Japan in cherry blossom (March–April), Angkor in December, and the best Bali villas in July–August — we recommend booking 9–12 months in advance. For other seasons, 4–6 months is usually sufficient. The earlier you book, the more choice you have over hotels, dates and special experiences.
What if we want to mark the occasion with a once-in-a-lifetime multi-country trip?
