Are your Asia holidays suitable for travellers over 60 and 70?
Absolutely — we specialise in holidays for travellers over 50, and a large proportion of our guests are in their 60s and 70s. Every itinerary clearly states its pacing level (Gentle, Moderate or Active), no day starts before 09:00, and we build in meaningful rest time. Our specialists will always recommend the right pace for you.
What does ATOL protected mean for my holiday?
ATOL (Air Travel Organiser's Licence) protection means your money is 100% safe if we or any of our suppliers cease trading. It is issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. If anything goes wrong before or during your trip, you will be either repatriated or fully refunded.
Can I get a refund if I need to cancel?
Yes — we offer refundable deposits on most tours. If your plans change early enough, your deposit comes back to you in full. We also strongly recommend travel insurance for comprehensive cover. Speak to our team about flexible booking terms.
Are the tours private or do I travel with a group?
We offer both. Private escorted tours mean your own specialist guide and vehicle — no other travellers, no compromises on timing. Small-group tours have a maximum of 10–12 guests and still offer a very personalised experience. Both styles are clearly labelled on every tour page.
Which Asian countries do you offer holidays to?
We currently cover nine destinations: Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, China, India, Bali, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Cambodia. Each has multiple tour lengths and styles. We also arrange multi-centre trips that combine two or more countries.
What is the best time of year to visit Asia?
It depends on the destination. Japan is magical in cherry blossom season (late March–April) and autumn foliage (October–November). Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia are best from November to March. India is ideal October to March. Sri Lanka has two monsoon seasons but the south and west are excellent from December to April. We will advise the best timing for your specific itinerary.
Do I need travel insurance for an Asia holiday?
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all our tours. It should cover medical expenses (including evacuation), trip cancellation, and personal belongings. Some of our destinations require proof of insurance before departure. Our team can advise on reputable providers for over-50s.
How far in advance should I book?
Popular dates — particularly Japan in cherry blossom season — can sell out 6–9 months ahead. As a guide, we recommend booking 3–6 months in advance for most tours. Last-minute availability does occasionally arise, so it is always worth asking. A small refundable deposit secures your place.
