Multi-Centre Grand Tours

from £2,195 pp

Two and three countries, one seamless journey

Some trips are greater than the sum of their parts. Our multi-centre grand tours weave together the great destinations of Asia and the Indian Ocean — the Taj Mahal and a Maldivian lagoon, the temples of Angkor and the monks of Luang Prabang, Japan's bullet trains and Singapore's gardens, the orangutans of Borneo and the food streets of Penang. Every one is now priced from under £2,300 per person including your return international flights from the UK and the internal flights between countries — those flights replacing the long road days — with a considered mix of characterful 4-star and excellent 3-star hotels, and the most active days front-loaded so the journey eases towards rest. Culture, wildlife and beach in a single, perfectly sequenced trip.

What you'll experience

  • The Taj Mahal at dawn and a Maldivian lagoon in a single journey
  • Angkor Wat, Hoi An's lanterns and the alms-giving monks of Luang Prabang
  • Wild elephants in Sri Lanka, Kerala backwaters by private houseboat, then the Maldives
  • Japan's bullet trains and cherry blossom, the polish of Singapore, a Thai finale
  • Orangutans on the Kinabatangan, Penang's food streets and Singapore's gardens

The countries you'll explore

Ten remarkable countries, woven into one journey

Each grand tour combines two or three of these destinations into a single, seamlessly arranged itinerary — flights, hotels, guides and transfers handled end to end. Here is what each country brings to the journey.

India

Mughal monuments and Rajasthani palaces, the Taj Mahal at dawn and the Kerala backwaters by houseboat. India anchors our grand tours with colour, culture and history at every turn.

Explore India

Sri Lanka

Sigiriya's lion-rock fortress, wild elephants gathering at Minneriya and the Dutch ramparts of Galle. A compact island that pairs wildlife with colonial heritage at an easy pace.

Explore Sri Lanka

Maldives

The restful finale to many of these journeys — overwater villas, warm turquoise lagoons and a house reef just off the beach. Pure relaxation after the touring.

Explore Maldives

Vietnam

Hanoi's old quarter, the lantern-lit lanes of Hoi An and the emerald karsts of Halong Bay. Vietnam brings depth, elegance and wonderful food to the Indochina trail.

Explore Vietnam

Cambodia

Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument on earth, explored across cool, unhurried mornings. Cambodia is the cultural heart of our Indochina journeys.

Explore Cambodia

Laos

Serene Luang Prabang, where saffron-robed monks process at dawn and the Mekong slides past golden temples. The gentlest, most contemplative leg of the trail.

Japan

Bullet trains, raked-gravel temple gardens and hot-spring inns beneath Mount Fuji. Japan brings precision and refinement to the start of the East-meets-Southeast journey.

Explore Japan

Singapore

The sophisticated hinge of several tours — Gardens by the Bay, hawker-centre feasts and effortless, air-conditioned ease between the wilder legs of a trip.

Explore Singapore

Thailand

Golden temples, the hill country around Chiang Mai and the beaches of the south. Thailand offers a warm, relaxed finale or a vibrant city interlude.

Explore Thailand

Malaysia & Borneo

Orangutans on the Kinabatangan, the food streets of UNESCO Penang and the Petronas Towers. Malaysia and Borneo bring wildlife and city in equal measure.

Our promise

Why travel with us for Multi-Centre Grand Tours

  • Multi-country travel is our speciality — every handover between countries is met by a local representative, and the internal flights between countries are now included, replacing the long road days so you never lose a day to a transfer.

  • Each grand tour is deliberately sequenced so the most active sightseeing comes first and the journey eases towards rest — a leopard safari or a temple climb early on, a beach or a backwater to finish.

  • Every grand tour is now priced from under £2,300 per person, including your flights, with an honest mix of characterful 4-star and excellent 3-star hotels — never compromising the experience, simply choosing comfort and character over a five-star name.

  • Our specialists have built these arcs over many years and pace them for the over-50s traveller — gentle daily distances, optional climbs always flagged, and genuine downtime woven through every leg.

  • Your return international flights from the UK and the internal flights between countries are all included, ATOL-protected, and we tailor any element you wish — an overwater villa, a Mekong cruise, a beach finale instead of a city — so the trip fits you exactly.

Common questions

Multi-Centre Grand Tours travel questions answered

How are the prices kept under £2,300 for a multi-country trip, with flights included?

Every grand tour is now priced from under £2,300 per person and that price includes your return international flights from the UK as well as the internal flights between countries — nothing is arranged separately any more. We achieve this with a considered mix of characterful 4-star and excellent 3-star hotels rather than five-star throughout, efficient internal flights that replace the long road days, and sensible transfers (fast speedboats rather than seaplanes in the Maldives, for instance). It is honest value without compromising comfort or the quality of the experience. The whole package is ATOL-protected, and you can always upgrade individual elements — an overwater villa, or a cabin upgrade on your flights — if you wish.

Isn't visiting two or three countries in one trip exhausting?

It is far less tiring than it sounds, because the itineraries are built around it. The longest hops between countries are covered by internal flights, not endless road days, and these flights are included in the tour. The most active sightseeing is front-loaded, while you are freshest, and each trip eases towards rest — typically a beach or a backwater at the end. Every transfer is met by a local representative, so you are looked after at every handover.

Do I need multiple visas for these trips?

It depends on the combination, but most require one or two simple online applications (such as an India e-Visa or a Sri Lanka ETA), while several countries grant free visa-free entry or a visa on arrival to UK citizens (the Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan among them). We send full, step-by-step guidance for every visa or travel authorisation you need once you book, so nothing is left to chance.

Can these itineraries be tailored or extended?

Absolutely — that is the heart of what we do. Each grand tour is a carefully designed framework, but every element can be adjusted: add an overwater villa in the Maldives, swap a city finale for a beach, extend a wildlife leg, or upgrade hotels. We can also rearrange the pacing or add rest days. Simply tell your specialist what you have in mind and we will build the journey around you.

Are international flights included?

Yes — every multi-centre grand tour now includes your return international flights from the UK, and the internal flights between the countries you visit are included too. That is why the prices sit transparently from under £2,300 per person. We are an ATOL-protected agency, so your whole holiday is financially protected, and we are happy to arrange preferred seating or a cabin upgrade if you wish.
