What the single supplement actually is
Hotel rooms and cabins are usually priced on two people sharing. When one person occupies that space, the operator still pays the room cost, and the difference is passed on as a "single supplement". It is not a penalty for travelling alone so much as the economics of a room built for two — but it can feel like one.
How we keep it fair
We dislike the supplement as much as you do, so we waive it entirely on selected November and February departures, and we will always point you towards the dates and itineraries where solo travel costs least. Where a supplement does apply, we keep it as modest as the hotels allow.
Spreading the cost helps too — our flexible monthly payment options mean even a supplement-bearing trip stays comfortably affordable.
